Strategy

Rolls-Royce and the High Value Manufacturing Catapult launched a National Strategy in Through-life Engineering Services (TES) on 5th July 2016 in London.
Following the launch of this initiative at the Houses of Parliament in September 2015 and the standing up of a steering committee to oversee the work the final strategy document and its associated supporting documents were published on the 5th of July 2016. A series of regional workshops were held and their outputs analysed.

Further research into the potential size of the market has been led by Professor Alan Hughes of the Judge Business School, Cambridge University (http://www.cbr.cam.ac.uk/people/the-team/alan-hughes/). Extensive consultation with sector experts has been undertaken and included in the outputs. TES related research impact case studies have also been analysed form the Research Councils web archive and new examples of TES in action included.

The National Strategy is facilitated by the Through-life Engineering Services Centre (TES Centre) hosted by Cranfield and Durham Universities.

TES Sector Council

As an immediate action following the engineering services strategy launch we are looking to form a TES Sector Council based around the TES National Strategy Steering Committee. We are seeking to broaden the cross-sector involvement of companies and other organisations and are looking for volunteers to join it.

If you are interested please email: enquiries@through-life-engineering-services.org and we will get in touch to set up a discussion with one of our consultants.
